The Marvelous Silence

When we clear our minds and get quiet, we can find more than an outside silence, we can discover an inner silence that can bring marvelous results in our lives. Unfortunately living in big cities and with many activities to do, the mind gets so busy that forgets what silence truly means. A normal everyday for many, it’s all about thinking, analyzing, finding beliefs or meanings. Silence is a practice that needs our willingness, our attention, and time. It might not happen often or for many but it’s worth a try.

There is this magic about silence that allow us to release the mind, find stillness, let our hearts speak, allow our intuition guide us, and trust in something bigger than ourselves. Silence can shower us with the widest and brightest divine energy. An energy that can fill up the necessities that allow us to accomplish our beautiful journey in this life. The mind is just a tool; saving information to be used, and consciousness is what guides us to find our goals, journey or treasures.

To accomplish this, we need to give ourselves permission to enjoy, live, and experience the biggest love residing within us in silence. When ready, the first important thing to do is to clear the mind. This can be done through relaxation methods like yoga, meditation, hiking, or listening to soothing music. Actually, meditation is the purpose of yoga (the no doing, no feeling, no speaking, no seeing, no creating). It’s the process of cleaning, emptying, showering, rebirthing, and renewing ourselves with compassion. Meditation can be done through chant, mantra repetition, nature walks, focus on breath or in candle or water. As you can see the options are many for whenever you are ready for the change. Make it a sacred moment. With time, silence will become effortless, even with eyes open or in between outside chatting.

Once the mind is empty and clear of worries or thoughts, we get grounded and present. We can enjoy the silence of our physical and mental body, and let the spiritual body listen. At this point, we might be more aware of nature or city sounds, the sound of our body and the heart beat, but most importantly the sounds of the energy running through our body coming in and out, moving around, and playing around. Here, it’s where the magic begins, when the silence can speak to us, where we’re able to understand our place and goals.

In the yoga philosophy, yoga is the road and the chakras are the map. An in this kase, the chakra Sahasrara (the crown chakra) located on the top of our heads is the one that can be open to the cosmic energy that can lead us to love, joy, freedom, peace, and to our whole balance divine beings. It teaches us to connect to something higher than us and with the true support in our unique journey. It helps us to understand who we are beyond our physical existence. It invites us to practice silence and pay attention to get free from those chains that we had got or grabbed over time and that are holding us back.

Give yourself the beautiful gift of quieting your mind. You can start enjoying 2 minutes a day and keep increasing those 2 minutes to two or three times a day at least and keep increasing the length as much as it feels good. The divine can be experienced everyday and everywhere. Just let yourself flow with this bright white energy in the silence. Going where everything emerges.

Soon, you might be surprised to notice that things that used to bother you are less significant. You will see that you can focus easier on the outside and inner world. You might feel more present. Though be patient, stilling the mind it’s a gradual process of awakening.
