Moving Gently and Smoothly

The practice of yoga teaches us to join the breath and movement, deeply and smoothly; just like life should be. It teaches us to make every physical movement with awareness. Every time we practice yoga, we are practicing awareness of our present moment. By doing that, we have an opportunity to get grounded and to find joy.

A great practice for this is moving with the inhales and pausing with the exhales. This can done for example on sun salutations, or twisting poses, but even when making decisions or creating. It’s like finding harmony in between the breath and movement or in between a dance of air and the awareness of senses. It is the practice that can guide us from the ups and downs, the good and the bad. It’s our decision to move with grace, finesse and softness. Our mat will be the mirror, the reflection of our lives. We practice flexibility and strength by reaching and contracting, opening and closing, with gentle and smooth awareness. I truly believe that our mat practices are the perfect translator of how we live. Everything can come to the mat to be transformed. The way we move, breath, think, and feel can make differences.

Put value on the marks you are leaving on the world with gentle footprints

Every breath and every step we take in life, it’s a new opportunity to find inspiration and guidance to live our lives in full happiness. We can decide to enjoy the magic that resides within us. Let's leave the breath and life be gentle and smooth in its own rhythm. When we give ourselves permission to this to happen we might encounter solutions, options, new paths, and happiness.

Let’s celebrate life with patience and love by taking one step at a time. Honor your body, your breath and soul with love. Find to make beautiful, smooth and gentle movements or decisions in the mat and in life.
