How Can We Use Mantras and Meditation?

Activities normally done nowadays are mainly focus on working with the mind. We are trained to use the mind without taking in consideration our bodies or even feelings. The unfortunate part of this, it’s that the mind has the ability to take us to shaded or dark places if it’s not being taken care of properly. And it can take us where is hard to pay attention to beauty or greatness.


If we learn to use a mind for our own convenience, we can do amazing things to ourselves. We just need to be careful to not get hooked only by the control of the mind. We have to find the balance that correlates in between the body, the mind, and the soul.


From the way I personally see it, the mind can be recognized as only thoughts and knowledge, but the mind can integrate the body and the consciousness to get knowledge. We need to be masters of our minds. Yoga is one of the known practices that can recognize, purify, and focus on the mind. In yoga we learn to still the mind and the body to go inward so we can understand and appreciate the extraordinary being we are. To do so, we can use meditation to unload greater things. When we silence the mind, we find a place to be relax, in harmony and calm but also to expand our awareness and consciousness. In addition, we can also use “MANTRAS” (MAN=mind and TRAS=to deliver), the repetition of words or phrases that are giving the mind what we want it to have. When we repeat mantras either internally or chanted, we are using them as an instrument to clean the mind to see our purest self.


To start practicing, close your eyes for a moment, find the connection in between the breath, the body, the earth, and your inner self. This can help to be grounded, silent and still. You can stay here for a few minutes and then introduce a mantra. Once done, simply pay attention to any different physical, mental, and emotional feelings. What do you notice?

  • I am Flexible

  • I am Free




Life is always changing, the same as the mind that is constantly looking for balance and space. Give yourself permission to find other ways to see life and equilibrate your true essence with your body and mind. Change your thoughts and everything around you will start turning on your favor.
