Everywhere we look at this season of the year, there is a shower of words like joy and peace. They come to be a beautiful reminder for our heart’s spirit that is always willing to fulfill ourselves with these high sentiments. But, what really peace and joy means? Do we really practice them? Do we pay attention to them only this time of the year?
Let's remember that Joy and peace are always in need of each other, they complement each other. And the most amazing thing is that they can always come from us not to us. Someone said: peace “... doesn’t mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of the things and still be calm in your heart”
There is definitely a daily practice needed to find peace and joy within ourselves. We need to start by forgiving and releasing the past and be open in heart to enjoy the present without holding ourselves in any negative outcomes. With patience and perseverance, this is a process that can bring calm to our life and whole being. Remember that we have the power of making decisions. We could live anywhere and any day surrounded by a falling environment but still be connected into the juicy and soft pureness of our light; filling us with peace and joy. And the best of all: there is no need to wait for just scattered celebrations of the year. They are available to us all year long.
“Today I’m at peace and my mind will no longer over-analyze the past or stress about the unknown ahead. I’m present in the moments in front of my eyes” - Jennae Cecelia
We can enjoy this amazing sensations when we allow ourselves to trust and surrender into the calm that comes within us, knowing that everything will happen so just by letting the universe do its work. After understanding the comfortable state of peace within, joy will happen at each action we take and every moment we live, into whatever it’s happening around us.
Let’s stop looking peace outside of us; thinking that the world is the one that can provide it for us. I invite you to practice peace by trusting that the desires we have and actions we take will evolve into joy by just trusting. Let’s embrace, starting today and every day of the coming decade, a heart full of joy, hope, trust, love, and magnificent peace.
The light in me, recognizes the light in you,
